It is with great excitement that I announce the beginning of Session 03 of the Group Weight Loss and Wellness Program on Sunday, July 14th at 9am EST here at Lifestyle Medicine Maine. Mark your calendar and keep an eye out for e-mails as we get ready to begin next Sunday!

When I envisioned a private practice specializing in Lifestyle Medicine, I had high expectations. Having gone through diet and lifestyle changes to personally help family members regain their health, I understand that change takes time and nurturing. It is one thing to know what to do, and a completely different beast to actually implement these changes.


The Group Weight Loss and Wellness Program explores the evidence-based literature, sorting through the faff, so that we can make the best decisions for our own bodies. Each week is packed with skill building as we practice putting what we learn into action. Gone are the days of relying on willpower. In this program we'll learn how to work with our hunger to successfully lose weight for the long haul. We'll adjust our systems and learn to set ourselves up to make healthy decisions.

What to Expect. Session 03 of the Group Weight Loss and Wellness Program is packed with information, group meetings, 1:1 sessions, weekly weigh-in's, recipes, podcasts, video recordings and group events.


Sunday Group Meetings. Each Sunday we will meet as a group virtually via zoom at 9am EST (1 hour). Each member will receive a Sunday morning e-mail with the link to join. Feel free to log-in early to chat with our clinician or other group members as early as 8am if you'd like!

  • Misplaced the e-mail invitation? We can easily find the weekly link to join on the www.lifestylemedicinemaine.com website under the "Group Member's Only" page on the main menu (shown below).

  • Can't make the Sunday meeting? All meeting recordings will be available to us within 24-48 hours.



Modules with bonus content throughout the week. With so much to learn about weight loss and wellness, members can explore bonus content throughout the week to help us stay on track and make well-informed health decisions. From entertaining videos to pre-recorded modules covering essential topics, we'll kickstart our health and weight loss journey together.


Here's a sneak peak of the bonus modules from Week 1 of the program:

  • Monday: A fun video about other people's experiences with the week 1 challenge!

  • Tuesday: How to gain weight eating healthy foods

  • Wednesday: How to interpret scale fluctuations.

  • Thursday: How long will it take to reach out goal weight?

  • Friday: How Weight Loss Works (the basics)

  • Saturday: Key Concepts for Weight Loss


1:1 Session and Weekly Weigh-in's. Members can easily schedule as-needed virtual video sessions throughout the week. Add in the accountability of weigh-in's at the clinic on Tuesday's. Quickly and easily access the practice schedule through the Group Members Only Page.


Recipes. Explore the Lifestyle Medicine Maine recipe box online or directly from a smart phone. From low-calorie sauces and dressings to "next best" dessert options, we'll find a collection of member-approved recipes.


Join the discussion. Chat with group members to ask questions and support one another throughout the program on the private group discussion board.


And more. From group cooking events to pickleball meet-up's, the Group Weight Loss and Wellness Program is fostering a supportive community of members. Join us as we support one another on our journey towards weight loss and wellness.
